Animal Chakras – Chakra 5
My dog Dazzle is a barker. Whenever she is excited, she barks. A lot. Loudly.
It can be a bit much sometimes, but deep down, I know that she is just expressing herself with her voice and ultimately that is a good thing!
On my grouchy days, I don’t love the barking.
But when it’s not hurting my ears, I love it!
Dazzle is being Dazzle and what more could she (or I) ask for?
It is a gift to be able to be ourselves and express ourselves in our own unique ways.
And when our 5th Chakra is balanced, we are able to do just that.
This week on my blog, I continue my series on Animal Chakras with Chakra 5 – the Throat Chakra.
This chakra governs our voice and our ability to express ourselves in the world. This Is such an important chakra to understand for ourselves and for our animal companions.
Now It’s Your Turn
What did you learn about your pet’s sense of self-expression? I’d love to hear about it! Please share your insights in the comments!

I have a painted turtle, 16 years old. The only sound he makes is a hiss when he is upset. He also will thump his body against his tank when he wants my attention. I sometimes rub his throat but so far, no vocal sounds. Do reptiles ever talk? (I love him dearly just the way he is. His name is Jupiter.)

That is so cool, Paula! Yes, I have had several intuitive conversations with reptiles. They don’t generally vocalize very much, though. Jupiter sounds like a sweety!
