When will I know I can talk to animals?

Tips to gain confidence as an animal communicator

This week, Lisa asks me when she will ever become confident in her ability to talk to animals and what it will take to get there.

She shares her struggles and challenges and her question illustrates a common constellation of challenges that just about all animal lovers face as they move forward training to be an animal communicator.

She was so open and honest with me that I went really in-depth with my analysis of her situation and my suggestions for ways to solve her problems.

I think this will help anyone who is struggling with trusting themselves, wanting to get the ‘right’ answer, and wondering how long it takes to be confident as an animal communicator – whether that is formally as a professional or informally with your own family and friends.

Now It’s Your Turn

Do you ever struggle with feeling confident as an Animal Communicator? Which tip are you going to try? Please share in the comments!

I found this helpful, thank you! I especially liked the suggestion to be playful, sort of like, don’t take yourself so seriously 🙂 My experiences have been much like Lisa, I most often get messages or hear animals when I least expect it or am not trying so hard. Upping my relaxation prior, and not taking myself so seriously is helpful. I find I often procrastinate on practicing because I am afraid of the failure. If I can go into it with a more relaxed or “who cares” attitude, I can see that being beneficial.

This is a very helpful video. What struck me is the similarity between what you said, and the sermon series we are in at church. The pastor gave the same recommendations, use your imagination, just go ahead and do it, don’t worry about whether you really heard God or if it was yourself, and don’t worry about what other people think (like you are crazy or whatever). The series is called Listen Up, the difference is who you are communicating with, animals or God.

I, too, found the “be playful!” to go right into the core of what’s holding me back now. I’ve noticed that when I’m very serious, animals leave me alone. But when I become silly, giddy, even ridiculous, they become super curious about me. Besides, it’s fun-:) And, truth be told, it is the real me. I’m very goofy at heart-:) but I’ve been rewarded by human society for my serious, intellectual side. It’s such a relief to be with the animals! Thank you, Dr. Cara, for all your awesome videos and encouragement. Blessings!

Good luck with the playing, Ann! It’s helpful to find a way to bypass the logical mind and playing and being silly is one of the best ways to do it!
      hugs, Cara

Thank you for these great tips! I am at the very beginning of this and so have felt many times worried about being right. I appreciate the advice for letting go of that and just practicing!
